Mesa
by Doug Curtis
Sept. 24 – Oct. 11

Paul had no idea what he was taking on when he agreed to drive his 93 year old grandfather-in-law from Calgary to Mesa, Arizona. When this odd couple hits the open road, it’s like every straight-away turns into a hairpin curve. Who knew that Motel 6, Denny’s saxophone music and prune juice could change a young man’s life forever.

Thy Neighbour’s Wife
by Tara Beagan
Feb. 3 - 21
|
The ingredients for this thrilling adaptation of a true story are an Irish immigrant, a proper young wife, a thoroughly rotten scoundrel and a conniving, attractive, and remarkably libidinous neighbour. This is all blended into a mystery story set in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. In this story “who done it” is obvious. The mystery to be solved is why such an astonishing thing was done.
This play won Canada’s highest theatre recognition
– a Dora Mavor Moore Award
…auspicious…full of dramatic magic.

A Nice Family Gathering
by Phil Olson
Apr. 14 – May 2
|
A story of a man who loved his wife so much he ALMOST told her. In fact, after 35 years of marriage, he’s decided that today he WILL tell her. His plan? Wait for the entire family to gather for Thanksgiving dinner and proclaim his love for all to hear. The only problem is he’s dead! His solution? Channel his message through his adult son. But when his less than cooperative son has his own messages to proclaim, the comic fireworks explode.
It is a wonderful script – smart, touching, relatable, and oh so funny! The audience falls apart with laughter from start to finish.
– The Tolucan Times
“…an exquisite sense of humour”
