Digital Marketing Coordinator: Part time permanent position.

Nature of position: Hiring one (1) Digital Communications Coordinator to work under the general supervision of the Artistic Producer and be responsible for the Theatre NorthWest’s website, and social media accounts. They will collaborate with departments to develop and implement a strategic content calendar, ensuring that information on the organization’s services is effectively communicated.

The Digital Communications Coordinator will also provide general communications support including graphic design, multi-media content (images and videos) and produce printed materials.

RATE OF PAY: $22-$28 per hour

JOB SUMMARY:

The Digital Marketing Coordinator, under the general supervision of the Artisic Producer, is responsible for the administration and coordination of information on Theatre NorthWest’s digital communication channels (websites, and social media channels), the creation of multimedia content and graphic design, and provides general communications support.

 

The Digital Marketing Coordinator may also be required to write, and design printed public

information materials such newsletters and posters.

 

TYPICAL DUTIES:

  1. Updates and maintains information on the Theatre NorthWest’s external websites, and social media channels, ensuring material is accessible, coordinated, current, effective, and informative.
  2. Works in collaboration with staff from all departments to write, edit, and/or design public information for the Theatre NorthWest’s website, and social media as well as printed materials such as posters, newsletters, brochures, programs and other information pieces to support public information and/or engagement processes.
  3. Works in collaboration with staff from all departments to develop and implement a digital content calendar and content campaigns for the Theatre NorthWest’s websites and social media channels under supervision. Works with various departments to ensure digital content is aligned with any paid advertising (newspaper, digital billboards).
  4. Produces multimedia content and graphic design as requested.
  5. Conducts ongoing market research and environmental scans of digital communication efforts by other Canadian theatres, and digital communication best practices, to make appropriate recommendations for adjustments to digital communication strategies, content and processes.
  6. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  1. Post-secondary degree in graphic design.
  2. or equivalent experience in a related field

 

Job Knowledge:

  1. Knowledge of marketing and communication principles.
  2. Knowledge of managing corporate social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, as well as working with Google Analytics.
  3. Knowledge of graphic design software such as Adobe InDesign and Canva.
  4. Knowledge of Project Management, including excellent organizational skills, ability to establish priorities and coordinate workloads to meet predetermined deadlines and budget expectations.
  5. Knowledge of all Adobe Programs

 

Skills and Abilities:

  1. Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to deal tactfully with co-workers, elected officials, community representatives and the public.
  2. Considerable organizational skills, ability to establish priorities and coordinate tasks and workloads to consistently meet deadlines.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and thorough knowledge of proper punctuation, and grammar.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Rate of Pay

$23-$28 per hour
