Ken Ludwig's The Game's Afoot

NOV. 19, 2026 - Dec. 17, 2026

Step into a glittering 1930s Connecticut estate where the line between performance and reality blurs in this razor-sharp comedy-thriller. When a Broadway star famous for portraying Sherlock Holmes hosts a holiday weekend for his thespian friends, a sudden murder turns the festivities into a real-life whodunit. As secrets unravel and suspects mount, the star actor must put his detective skills to the test. Packed with quick wit, vintage charm, and delightful twists, The Game’s Afoot is a stylish homage to classic mystery with a sharp comedic edge.

Content Warning: This production contains content that may be disturbing to some audience members. The Game’s Afoot is a comedic murder mystery that includes references to violence and murder, Hitler and Nazis, suicide, animal cruelty, sexual assault, child abuse, stigmatizing terms for mental health, a variety of weapons (ie. prop guns, knives, and swords), religious language, a séance, and misogynistic language. Please use your discretion when attending and put your mental wellbeing first.

Sensory Warning: The Game’s Afoot will contain moments of darkness, loud sound effects, flashing lights, and a water-based haze effect.

Pink/red poster for "Ken Ludwig's The Game's Afoot," presented by Theatre NorthWest, featuring an illustrated deerstalker hat, magnifying glass, and holly wreath. Presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. Running November 19 – December 17, '26.

Liars at a Funeral

WRITTEN BY SOPHIA FABIILLI
FEB. 11, 2027 - MAR. 3, 2027

Funerals are supposed to be dignified, respectful affairs… so naturally, the Hall family makes a complete mess of it. As they return home intending to mourn, long-simmering grudges, outrageous secrets, and truly questionable life choices bubble to the surface at the worst possible moment. From ill-timed confessions to spectacular emotional meltdowns, no secret survives for long. Liars at a Funeral is a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud comedy about the chaos of family, the art of keeping up appearances, and what happens when the truth refuses to stay buried.

Content Warning: Liars at a Funeral is a family comedy that takes place in a funeral home, and a casket is present for the duration of the play, death and loss are central to the story. This production contains content that may be disturbing to some audience members, including: death and grief, LGBTQ stereotypes, sexuality, the business side of death, alcoholism, early labour in pregnancy, family estrangement, and strong language. Please use your discretion when attending and put your mental wellbeing first.

Purple poster for "Liars at a Funeral," written by Sophia Fabiilli, featuring an illustrated open casket with a body, confetti, and streamers. Produced by permission of the Playwright and Marquis Literary (Colin Rivers). Running February 11 – March 3, '27.

If You Could Read My Mind: The Songs of Gordon Lightfoot

CO-CREATED BY MICHAEL SHAMATA and TOBIN STOKES
APR. 22, 2027 - MAY 12, 2027

Celebrate the timeless music of Canadian legend Gordon Lightfoot in this evocative musical journey through love, loss, and the landscapes that shape us. Featuring beloved songs like “Sundown,” “Early Morning Rain,” and the iconic title track, this theatrical concert weaves storytelling and song into a rich portrait of a life in music. If You Could Read My Mind is a moving tribute that captures the heart of Lightfoot’s artistry and the enduring power of his songs to connect us all.

Content Warning: The script for If You Could Read My Mind: The Songbook of Gordon Lightfoot is comprised entirely of lyrics of Gordon Lightfoot songs. Within that context, this production contains content that may be disturbing to some audience members, including: death, heartbreak and cheating, suicidal ideation, addiction and substance use, and a romanticized view of mining and railway development and the colonial history of Canada.

Orange poster for "If You Could Read My Mind: The Songs of Gordon Lightfoot," co-created by Michael Shamata and Tobin Stokes, featuring an acoustic guitar with a circular train track design and the Theatre NorthWest logo. Running April 22 – May 12, '27.
